What We Collect
We do not collect personal information from people who simply read our website. The information we have about you is what you choose to share with us, through a contact form, newsletter signup, appointment request, or as part of clinical care.
How We Use and Disclose Your Information
Email addresses are used to send Amanecia Health newsletters and practice updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, and we honor unsubscribes immediately. We do not sell email addresses or share them with advertisers.
Information shared with us as part of clinical care, including medical history, lab results, treatment notes, and billing details (your protected health information, or PHI), is used to provide treatment, coordinate with other providers and labs, bill for services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We disclose PHI without your authorization only when required or permitted by law, such as for payment, healthcare operations, public-health reporting, or in response to valid legal process. For uses or disclosures not covered by this policy or by law, we will obtain your written authorization, and you may revoke that authorization at any time.
Compliance with Applicable Privacy Laws
Amanecia Health, PLLC complies with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), including its Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule.
We also comply with the privacy and medical-records laws of every state in which we are licensed to provide care, including the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act and applicable Virginia health-records confidentiality laws.

Amanecia Health, PLLC is required by law to maintain the privacy and security of your protected health information, to provide you with this notice of our legal duties and privacy practices, and to notify you in the event of a breach of unsecured protected health information.
How Your Information Is Protected
Patient medical information is stored in HIPAA-compliant systems. Access is limited to workforce members who need the information to provide care or operate the practice. We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Your Rights
As a patient, you have the right to:
- Access your medical records. Request a copy in paper or electronic form.
- Request an amendment to records you believe are inaccurate or incomplete.
- Request restrictions on how your information is used or disclosed for treatment, payment, or healthcare operations.
- Receive an accounting of certain disclosures we have made of your PHI.
- Receive a paper copy of this Privacy Policy on request.
- File a complaint, without retaliation, with our Privacy Officer or with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer (below). Submitting a complaint will not affect your access to care at Amanecia Health.
